ECOPEAL pioneers a bold vision for environmental responsibility by converting recycled drink cartons into building and lifestyle materials through smart, eco-friendly manufacturing. A collaborative project between S.H.A Hup-Aik & Tetrapak Malaysia, ECOPEAL receives and processes post-consumer beverage cartons collected through Tetrapak’s recycling network, transforming them into durable, high-value products that bring circular economy principles directly into our everyday spaces.

Planting a Greener Future: The Story Behind ECOPEAL’s Brand

ECOPEAL needed a brand identity that could clearly convey its unique value: converting used beverage cartons into durable, environmentally responsible products as the demand for sustainable construction and lifestyle materials continues to grow. The challenge lay in transforming a technical recycling process into a consumer-friendly narrative that feels trustworthy, future-focused, and relevant to both industry stakeholders and the general public. ECOPEAL approached NOGAP Creative to build a brand that would articulate this mission, differentiate it from traditional material suppliers, and position it as a leader in Malaysia’s green transition.

Design Rationale

The brand identity was crafted to embody ECOPEAL’s core values of circularity, sustainability, and practical innovation. The central logo features a seed — symbolising renewal and growth — rooted in soil and housed within a minimalist shelter structure. This visual metaphor reflects ECOPEAL’s role in transforming discarded materials into future-ready solutions for the built environment. An abstract forest encircles the mark, reinforcing the brand’s long-term vision of environmental restoration and lasting ecological impact.

The visual language uses earthy greens and neutral tones to evoke trust, resilience, and eco-awareness, while rounded forms, clean lines, and subtle recycled textures introduce approachability and modernity. Beyond materials production, ECOPEAL’s refreshed brand expression positions it as a thought leader in sustainable innovation — committed not only to greener outcomes but to inspiring meaningful environmental change.
